6 Answers
Hi, I used my credit card for first time (purchase about 650.00) I had 4 weeks to pay it off without charge(APR?) I payed off all at onec about week before deadline. Now, find that I was charge 150.00 for DPC(delayed payment charge) I was re-easured, that I`ll not paid extra money, if I payed before deadline. How this things really work? Now, they also charge me another 12.00, dont know why? Where I get wrong??? How I can ensure, that they will stop charge me? Thanks for answer!!!

Did you draw cash out? If so, this is different and attracts interest from the beginning. However the fact that you have been debited with a 12 fee indicates that your payment was late. What date did you pay and what date was it due?

Thank you for answer. Im sure, that I was not late, something get wrong, but not me! I made online purchase in case of emergency, so not cashline involve. So, Im calling to bank today and I will be not happy customer. I cant just let this go, I will fight for it. Thnaks for answers, getting my confidence back a little.
Some AMEX accounts seem to contain this clause in their T&Cs.
"We may charge you a Delayed Payment Charge equal to 2% of all outstanding sums which are
unpaid 28 days from the Card account statement date with effect from that date and every 30 days
thereafter for so long as they remain outstanding."
But 2% of 650 is 13. The sums you are being charged are just ridiculous.

Hi everybody, thanks for all answers. I called to bank last night and had been very unhappy customer with lots of questions (phonecall last for 35 min) Finally, they admit, that they make a mistake and will refund all money back (take 5 working days). If I dont call them, they will never let me know - *********!!! They try to play with dates and so on, but I knew I was right. So, next time, I will use another company and really checking my statements. (I will try to not use credit card at all) Thanks anyway!!!
