Fan-forced ovens

In the last 2 homes I've been in, anything I've cooked in the F-F oven has cooked at the back first and I've always had to turn it. I was under the impression that these ovens cooked evenly all round. Is it the cook who's doing something wrong?

No, it's not the cook. Mine cooks on one side and I have to turn things around.

A lot of these so called modern-day appliances never live up to the claims given about their perfomance........Ron

I always thought that too, Liz, but I still turn things round, usually (like you) back to front, but sometimes side to side. So, unless we're both doing something wrong, then ron may well be right!!!

I disconnected my fan years ago,waste of time.

Thanks for all your replies. I was obviously too optimistic. Fancy believing it would do what it said it would ! Get real, Liz !
