can't help with your question but I've seen this new fizzing powder & really can't see that it would turn greys back to white! I tend to use a big mug size scoop of washing soda crystals & they really do help to loosen grime. also so much cheaper at about 58p for a bag in supermarkets or wilko's
I used the Vanish Dual Power Pre-Wash Stain Remover on some stained sheeting, and it didn't work, my whites didn't return white - so now they are off to the garage to be used as rags, I've tried all sorts with no avail.
I wouldn't waste the 4 on it again.

My old gal says it`s a load of rubbish and wouldn`t use it again if it was given to her free. She has used Daz for the past 40 years and says it`s the best. My white shirts always look new.
I think it's rubbish. I've tried it and it makes no difference, it's all a lie, so the manufacturers can make us spend our money on this dross.

I feel the same way about Cillit Bang. Bang and the stain hasn't bloody gone!

i know what you mean about cillit bang velvetee total c**p.and where did they get that name.anyhow thanks for your answers won`t bother with that one.will try soda crystals and daz. bye bye persil lol.
usually these products do turn greys a bit whiter but unless you use them all the time, the very next wash it will return to grey again.
Best stain remover is Shout, even works on coloured clothes, I have tried all the new ones but always go back to it, but you must wash straight away otherwise it will just make a bleach stain.
i use asda's own brand liquid machine wash but when i do a whites wash i add a scoop of the stuff you're talking about, and i have to say it really does work. i believe it contains 'brighteners' which make your whites look really, really white. i don't use it as a stain remover, just to keep whites (towels, sheets, t-shirts, undies) really white. as to whether or not it's worth the money, only you can decide that if you try it. i'd give it a go and see what you think.
nowt would make my pants return to white from yeuck grey!
most of you didn't need to know that did you?
My daughter works for kent police and her uniform includes a white blouse! I use both types of vanish and they really do work if used as per manufacturers instructions. Her blouses are as white today as when she first got them (12 months). I agree with cillit - bang. wot a rip off. I notice they change the container to co- incide with new tv ads. which claim it's NEW IMPROVED!! ps the coin test didnt work its a load of rubbish and the ad should be banned.
the coin test does work, because ive tried and i dont agree that cillit bang doesnt work, because ive used it on limescale and grease and everything looks like new
If you look at the ads for cillit bang, it might only show 10 or 20 seconds, but it does state "actual time, ten minutes" or whatever. I think the coin one was 2 minutes.
