Ponds

Hi everyone,
I'm planning to construct a water feature which will start hopefully with a raised pre-formed pond which I would then like to go into a waterfall and then into a main pond. Does anyone have any advice as to how to make the preformed pond go into a waterfall (preferably without leaks!) If there is a better way of doing it altogether I'd love to know!

I`d put in a link but not sure how to. Perhaps someone will do it for me if they know how.
