Are there any rules which stipulate the times at which you can use lawn mowers, strimmers etc owing to the amount of noise they create?

I'm not sure about official rules" per se", but in my active days the general code was no undue noise before 8am. and after 7pm. and try to avoid noisy activities at the weekend - that comes under the good neighbour rule.
Generally, do unto others what........etc, etc,. Assuming your a good guy!!
