Moss on flat roofs

Would be grateful if anyone knows of a product we can put on our flat roof to get rid of moss

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I only have limited experience of flat roofes but I thought that this was one of the reasons for covering the traditional felt / tar roof with fine gravel.
1. it protects the roof from UV rays.
2. it displaces any water especially standing water which could freeze causing damage or would allow moss to grow.
3. it can be disturbed easily preventing weeds etc getting a hold.
you could try weedkiller? A copper wire strung along the ridge tiles of a pitched roof kills moss but I don't know how it would or could work on a flat roof.

has your flat roof got a covering of limestone chippings on the felt-this tends to let moss grow easier--scrape off these chips-using back of a spade-apply in dry weather solar reflective paint (aluminium coloured paint specially for this job) this reflects the sunlight(hence heat) from your felt and it will not let the moss grow like the limestone chippings do--moss more likely to grow on roofs in trees are nearby
