1) Where can I buy the pancakes like a Chinese takeaway use?

2) Do they use normal spring onions you buy in a bunch with a rubber band at the bottom?

3) Do you smear the hoisin sauce on the pancakes or use as a dip?

4) Just how good are they?? Bloody lovely if you ask me.

1) I'm sure I've seen them in Tesco's. Otherwise try googling Chinese cash & carry in your area. I have one near me.

2) Normal spring onions.

3) I smear on pancake.

4) Delish.

I have seen the whole deal in supermarkets, but never JUST the pancakes.

What area are they in and what supermarkets are you referring to?

you could make them yourself if you want to - just plain flour with some oil, water to bind, make into a pliable dough & then roll out & cook slightly in a dry frying pan or steam.

I've found the best ones are at M&S. much more authentic than Tescos or Sainsburys.

Abdulmajid - you should present yourself with a good Chinese cookbook, one that list a variety of your favourite dishes. Then you and your wife to be can have additional fun in the kitchen.
