I am the Walrus. Coo Coo Ca Choo!!!
3 Answers
I am reading up on the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 which covers various legal requirements and the protecting and protection of various mammals, animals, reptiles, insects and plants etc of the British Isles.
It is fairly straight forward law but I am intrigued to see WALRUS as a protected species.
Surely there are no walruses in and around the British Isles, no??
The act covers ALL dolphins and whales due to them often being stranded in the UK due to the greenhouse effect or Naval sonar etc, so why walruses???
Can anybody provide me with evidence we have walruses in or around Ol' Blighty??
Magnificent beasts by the way.
