Strange telephone number

A friend of mine has just phoned me to say that he had a missed call on his mobile and the number was 091106. He did'nt call back but typed the number into Google and found lots of websites for the search. Any idea what this number represents anyone?

BT broadband hubs give a sureal number when your called by someone using it?

perhaps that could be it?

Possibly When I type in "Who called me" I get a blog where many people are asking the same question.

Try typing 091106 into YouTube or any search engine and you will see much about it

When people connect a landline phone to their broadband ie: mine is orange and if I plug a phone into my orange broadband box for free calls the number is something odd like this. It's a free extra line.
I also get these odd/different numbers from friends when they call me and they're on the internet. I know at least 6 people with these odd numbers and they are all internet, phone, broadband related.

Both answers seem to relate to broadband so I'm sure you are right. I telephoned directory enquiries and they didn't seem to know. Weird though, isn't it?
