Warm pork pies dilemma.
7 Answers
Sometimes I will buy a packet of 4 pork pies from the shop. When you buy them they are in the refrigerator and I suppose they are nice enough eaten cold. But what I find is whenever I've tried to warm them up in the oven the pastry gets very soggy and makes them unpleasant to eat. Does anyone know of a way to heat the pies up so that the pastry keeps firm?

My mother and father in law used to warm theirs on top of the gas fire. They also used to put ice cram to soften in the sun if it was too hard ! Im amazed neither of them got food poisoning. My father in law died aged 66 and my mother in law is nearly 93. Doesnt seem to have done her any harm but being a cook myself, I wouldnt recommend it
