greasespots on dress

any ideas on how to get grease from garlic mushrooms off m dress oooops.

i've already tried rubbing a lemon very lightly on my dress and it sent my blue dress to green but only very slightly...and the grease mark is still there?

Think he may have to be cleaned professionally and even then there isnt any guarantee!!!

Try neat washing machine liquid. Rub it in the stain and wash in the machine as normal.

Try ironing it with a paper napkin over the grease. The heat of the iron should melt the grease and the napkin should soak it up - it used to take candle wax off my son's work shirts anyway!

its a good job it wasn't expensive. i had better put a bib on next time i go out for meal.or perhaps a serviette on my lap.learnt my lesson.thanks for ideas though.

as silly as it sounds cover with hairspray leave for 15 mins then iron with greaseproof paper

failing that try soaking spot in neat fairy liquid overnight use a scrubbing brush in the morning and wash item on its own in machine

sachs - works much better if its biological liquid and mixed with a little very hot water first to activate the enzymes.

I use neat washing up liquid, sprayed with mr muscle. Leave it on for about 15mins and then mashine wash as normal
