Do you wash your whites in hot or cold water ? I always do mine in very hot water but I know someone who uses a cold wash and her whites always look brilliant.
Does anyone else use cold water ?

I soak stained whites in cold water and washing powder in the machine overnight and then wash at 40 degrees.
I sometimes wash coloured items in cold water if they are stained or if I'm worried about shrinkage. I tend to wash the coloured wash at 30 degrees.
