I want to plant some from of fairly fast growing tree or shrub at the bottom of my garden to give me a little privacy from the neighbours at the back - all year round.

I would like something that grows up to about 20 feet with a reasonable spread and preferably some form of flowers.I don't really want leylandii or conifers.

Any ideas?

My daughter has Virginia Creeper all over the front of her house up to the roof... it is now creeping along the wall next to it... fairly quickly... The only problem is after the leaves go fom green to a lovely red in the autumn they fall off - so in the winter you have no cover until it grows back in the spring..
