I have to buy a duvet for a single bed which a 2 year old will occupy sometimes. Other times could be a guest
staying overnight. I am tempted by a goose feather and
down but is it possible that someone could have an allergic reaction to this, especially my grandson, ie is it better to get a synthetic filling. My only stipulation is that it will have a pure cotton cover.

Don't get an expensive duvet for occasional use - especially when a young child will be using it. There will be accidents.

I would be inclined to go for a cheaper, washable duvet and buy a good cotton duvet cover.
