You should be able to get them in any DIY store like B&Q maplins also do them, is this the type of thing you are thinking of?

Thankyou for your answer. It is the type of thing I am looking for but it needs to be very much smaller. Possibly no more than 40mm total length when connected together. Thanks for your help.
Hi, if you are looking for one that small it might be quite hard to find, be worth calling into a electrical wholesalers to see if they have one of the old type which were far smaller, does it have to be a plug in type? because you could always use a small 5amp strip connector, it only means undoing a screw to connect wires.

Idealy I would like a plug in type.I need it to change the lighting system from mains to battery operated at will. I know the screw 5amp connector will do the job but I would prefer the two pin plug type for ease of use if I can find one. Thankyou again for being so helpful.
