Just had a new carpet fitted how can I get rid of the pits left by furniture especially legs and casters when they are moved?

I was told that dropping ice cubes into the dents would do the trick.. no idea if it works though!
Yes I have heard that too, but haven't tried it, can't do any harm though, even if it doesn't help! I'd give it a go!
I've tried it and it worked for me.
Put an ice cube in the pit and wait until it evaporates...be patient.
Icecubes tend to leave big puddles of water so I used a plant mist spray thingy and GENTLY brushed the dimple with a babies hairbrush - the very soft ones. Quick waft over with my hairdrier from about 18" above and the pile sprung back just fine:)
U can also buy tiny sort-of bowls ( about 4-5 cm across) that are specifically for this purpose. I have some and they do the job n are quite unobtrusive (clear plastic). Probably Wilko or carpet shop will stock them.
