We have recently had a gas fire and marble fireplace fitted. I have noticed condensation on the marble back piece of the fireplace. Is this cause for concern?

water vapour is one of the products of combustion when natural gas burns, if your seeing condensation on the marble then it could be a sign that the fumes are entering the room rather than going up the chimney/flue, i would definately get it checked out and/or buy a carbon monoxide detector
