Longer flush?

I have just fitted a new ideal standard studio wc. It sometimes struggles a bit to flush properly and gets blocked.Can I increase the volume of water that flushes the toilet by adjusting something inside the system. Thanks.

Have you tried holding the handle down longer?

Most toilets now have a 2 stage flush... if you quickly press and release the handle you get a short flush, if you hold the handle down you get a long flush.
