Vaillant Thermocompact Boiler Problem

I have a fault on my boiler. When I try to fire it up and the ignition light comes on it buzzes and the fault light comes on. Any Suggestions please?

jeez why do you people not just call out a heating engineer to repair your faulty boilers, do you have any idea of how complicated they are !

without knowing what model of vaillant it is and examining it in person if your getting a buzzing upon ignition its going to be something electrical, could be the solenoid, the circuit board or the fan
Further to the above comment, it is imperative you get a registered CORGI engineer to resolve this issue. it sounds like the gas solinoid valve could be sticking, but it is ILLEGAL for a non qualified person to even open the chamber. We do not all charge the earth and it is an advantage to have the correct tools for these jobs. you would not consider doing your own medical surgery, so why take risks with gas appliances!

However I have had it fixed, the problem was the Gas Valve and I had it replaced now working fine.
