i am redoing my kitchen and independant joiner has quoted me �150 for knocking a stud wall down, �150 for removing exsiting kitchen and �1200 for fitting new kitchen so �1500 in total. is this a good price?

it's quite difficult to give an accurate answer as we cant see how big your kitchen is and what the quote includes (tiling?, cupboards? and plumbing?) the best way of finding out if it is a reasonable quote is to just get another quote or two for exactly the sme job and compare them
Quite difficult? It's impossible.
That is a good price, we are renovating our whole house and a carpenter is from �140 a day to �180 aday 8am till 4pm. so i would work it out from that.
Judging by the price of your kitchen it may be a similar size to mine and we paid the same price so I think it sounds like a good deal. But then you may have a tiny expensive kitchen or a massive cheap one LOL
Thats a good price, any chance you can pass on the details of your joiner?

he lives in northern ireland, but if you live here as well no problem. got another quote as you suggested and just to fit kitchen and do any other work �2000! then builders fees on top of that. just waiting on sparky getting back with his prices
