Health effects of gas leak?

Can anyone help with detailing the possible health effects of having a gas leak within your home?

I know carbon monoxide leaks are serious and can kill.

However, we have had gas leaking before it entered our boiler. We have had it fixed now (!!) and am curious what effects this could have had on us. May explain a few things.
