i have a bread making machine i have to put tepid water in how do i tell if it is tepid

You put your finger in. If it doesn't feel hot, nor cold, it is tepid
Yeh whenever I make it I just use water out of tap, which is usually tepid, unless it has been freezing at night!

I wouldn't worry to much about it, I think they just want to make sure it isn't freezing cold, or boiling hot
just call it warm water???
I think tepid is slightly cooler than warm water. If it is too warm it can kill the yeast.
