I am a great John Lewis fan. You need to compare small print e.g. delivery and guarantee. I have found that some of the "white goods" I have brought from John Lewis have a longer free guarantee than from other shops.

If you look at Which report John Lewis mostly top. I have their own brand fridge/freezer and am really pleased with it.

John Lewis is also one of my fav' shops. They are very good at price matching & the after service is second to none.

I'd still pop into Pound Stretcher though, the same as anyone else! ;o}

I think that price matching only relates to retail stores and not to match internet prices, I think Dixons is just internet now.

They are much more expensive but you get a free 5 or even 10 year parts and labour guarantee depending on the model.

If you bought a different brand and a warranty of that length (assuming you could find one!) it'd probably cost you about the same

see it for less in any UK shop...

You're quite right jake - JL do not price match on items only available via the internet - only from another shop or departmental store.
