mulching

I have recently bought a garden shredder bosch 2000 silent, which works really well, i intend to shred all sorts of shrubs and small tree trimmings, and wonder if i can use this as a garden mulch, is there any material that i should not use or will everything be ok?
would appreciate any advice

We have the same machine which my husband uses lol. The green stuff he composts The woody material he uses like bark dressing on the raspberry canes etc
