Polished tree trunk
I've recently acquired an ornamental tree for my garden. It has been suggested that I polish the trunk to enhance its appearance but what do I polish it with. Do I use a dry cloth or some sort of polish like bees wax ?.

Maybe it's a prunus serrula which has lovely shiny bark ....like this?
If it became green or dirty over the winter you could wash it with warm water & a soft brush but as the old bark peels to reveal a new glossy layer underneath it's really unnecessary work. I'd never put polish on a tree, let nature do it's own thing.
