Whenever our central heating system 1st comes on in the morning, there is a mini 'blast' and then a small amount of what I assume is soot, gets blown out onto the Lilving Room floor from the gas fire that the Back-boiler sits behind. Any ideas?

I remember when I was going through my army training several years ago.. I think I got 'arrse blasted' by several saergents in the showers.

I guess it was a 'mini blast' because it was up my tight bottom.

Hope this helps

You really should get a central heating engineer to check your system out very swiftly.
Your boiler needs servicing ASAP.
