Does anyone know which manufacturer is signified by a backward S printed on White china/porcelain please? I have a small White wall pocket which is quite fragile with lots of tiny flowers and cherubs decorating it. Would like to know more so I can research it. Sorry if I have posted in the wrong category. Thank you!

Try A&L it's 3 down on the list <<<<<
hope it's worth mega bucks !!!
if it is just the onen letter it may well be the potters mark as opposed to the manufacturers mark. I don;t think it will be spode, they either used nothing or put their name. Does it say made in england on it? if it does it is after 1910ish.
Dollychris; if "S" is the only marking on it, how can you say that it's "backwards"?. Anyway, this link might help.

Thank you very much for all your answers which are much appreciated. Have posted in A&L theonlyone - as advised and if it is worth megabucks will let you know - but won't hold my breath! Thanks for the link Stewie and it looks like a backwards S as it faces the opposite way (like a mirror image) of letter S. Will check that potteries link now. Oh and dot.hawkes there is no other mark at all so nothing else to go on. Cheers all..........
