We found "Lord Sheraton Pure Beeswax Balsam" is excelent for treating and protecting old and dry wood. If used as directed it produces a nice healthy shine on the surface treated.

Don't know where you will find it locally but it is produced by Dylon International Ltd. Phone 020 8663 4801.
