Can anybody tell me how to clean the green off my paving slabs without spending money on commericial products from the shops. What household items will work for this problem?

Before we got our Karcher power washer (which are brilliant ) I used to scrub my paving slabs with washing powder - being slightly abrasive it worked a treat.
I use bleach on ours
Just really cheap bleach
I did try bleach - but if it runs onto the lawn - it kills it !!
Ah sorry I didnt realise lawn was lurking nearby!
For a sparkling finish once you've used the washing powder or bleach, sprinkle the slabs with silver sand just enough to cover the slabs and then have friends round for a party on your patio. In the morning, your slabs will be shining clean AND you'll have had some fun!
soda chrystals 80p from supermarkets, used for dozens of household uses, including killing green moss on driveways. Sprinkle on and then wet it or wait for it to rain.
It will turn brown, then use stiff brush to clean it off.
