Dynamite !!!!
De- foliate then cut it down, then get a 4wheel truck and pull the trunk out.
the last ones i took out although were not massive i done by trimming back as much as possible , dug around them then tied a tow rope around and pulled them out with a van/car
( not all got access to a 4x4)
To help in pulling out the roots with a vehicle, leave 3 or 4 feet of trunk sticking out of the ground when you've cut the rest down. They're generally fairly shallow-rooted, but in dry conditions they can develop a central taproot that grows straight down. This can make removal a bit more difficult.
Or alternatively hire a Tirfor winch that will do the trick of removing the stumps.
