I live in a hard water area,how often should I add salt and rinse aid to my dishwasher?

I top up both once a week - you can't overfill it

get rid of it ! it takes ages to fill , load , and unload , do it by hand , its quicker .

How does filling a dishwasher take ages? Takes about 2 seconds to put a plate or cup in. Why not get rid of the washing machine as well?????
