Semi integrated dishwasher

im looking at the bosch SG145E16GB, semi integrated dishwasher does this mean a kitchen unit door is placed on the door of the dishwasher? as im looking online it doesnt actually state. does anyone have one of these? would you recommend it? many thanks.

Semi integrated usually means that you need to cover part of the machine with a special door that you get to match your kitchen, but that the top bit with the dials/buttons reamins visible.

Fully integrated is where the special door that you need covers the entire front of the machine and the controls are usually fitted inside the door of the machine.

Don't have that model, so can't comment on the actual machine itself.

If you are adding a dishwasher now to your existing kitchen and you don't already have the doors required or are unable to get them from your kitchen supplier, you are probably looking to buy a non integrated dishwasher that just slots into the space the same as a washing machine - it will have its own door.

thanks for your quick replies! i do have dishwasher at the moment with short kitchen unit door on it and control panel showing but it needs replacing hence my question. its not actually broken but gets used everyday and is about 7 years old, its not a well known make (came free with kitchen) and im having to wash so much up when i get it out, supposedly clean, i think its time for a new one.

Sounds like the semi integrated is what you want then, you should be able to transfer the door from the old one to the new one.

I couldn't live without mine now and I grudge it when i have to hand wash the odd thing if it doesn't fit in or something.
