Depends where you live, and the type of storage you want. Far better to contact local firms for proper quotes.

I know,I just wanted a very rough idea ,like tens, hundreds or thousands coz I haven't a clue, and I wanted an estimate before Monday whn they could get me a quote
ive stored before and all of these places are open at weekends, its the time when working people have free to visit their stuff
lol i like the idea of "visiting your stuff" while its in storage, maybe in case your sofa gets lonely?
I think its to check its still there, bn.
Done it last 5 years ago, but only on a whole house full, not a room full.
To be honest the main cost is in the pack-up and unpack.
You pay per volume - eurocontainers or half-size ones.
Lorry turns up, blokes load stuff into containers that are on the lorry.
Lorry disappears and puts the containers into companies storage shed until you want it back again.
Container get forked back onto lorry and deliver back to new house. Big blokes remove stuff from containers into your house.
Say 700 for a 4-bed house full to cant and then another 700 to decant. 40 per week to store.
The main cost is in the labour cost for the blokes and the use of the lorry.
If you've really only got a room full. you'd be better off hiring a van and using self-storage facilities.
