i think it was cinzano or martini, it had leonard rossiter and joan collins in it

It was definitely a hairspray. NOT cinzano or martini. The reason he said "Not tonight" was because her hair was all over the place after making her way through the army camp to get to his tent.

It was defo Harmony hair spray,I remember it well.

Certainly hairspray - most probably Harmony.  they also used the lounge pianist singing "#Moonlight becomes you - it goes with your ha..." and "Is she, or isn't she?"
