Ponds and concrete
1 Answers
My hubby has just built a pond, it has a butyl liner and then the top is edging stones that are concreted, cemented in. I know you can paint some pond paint on to stop it leaching and in another book it said to add acid to the water to neutralise the alkali that leaches from the concrete.
My question, do you need to do this to balance the pond or will it do it itself?
Thanks

To be safe than sorry, give the stones and cement a coat of G4 pond sealer. This will make it 100% waterproof and will stop any chance of lime leaching out of cement products..
