My son and my brother both have this and have been diagnosd with Alopecia Areata.
My son, 38, went on to loose all of his hair (it's all back now except a few patches on his face) But my brother, 60+, has only ever had the facial patches.
Both of them think it started due to stress.
Suggest you Google Alopecia Areata Barbae if it's just your facial hair.
Sounds like VITILIGO.....Google it.
