Do you mean how to loosen them and let air in again at a later date?

If so, depending on which design you have, you usually just unscrew the valve that you tighten after vacuuming, and the air gradually seeps back in.

jan - do they have a zip like bit along the top of the bag - if so, just un zip it.
Question Author
do I undo the zip or
do I stick the hoover in again....

oh boy this sounds quite obscene............
Try looking for me. Surname is Lawrence and I have a picture of a bichon (small white dog for those that don't know).

yes Den, will try it.........
Question Author
very serious, ok Jan will have a look now.......
undo the valve, then once some air is back in, then undo the zip.
Dont use the hoover- it will suck the air out again!

You COULD just undo the zip, but it puts more pressure on the zip, which can distort it, and make it less airtight for next time.
