Curtain Pole Height - Two Differing Height Windows

Hi - sorry if this question comes out twice, thought I'd submitted it, but can't find it.

I have two windows in same room on different walls. Front window top edge is 10" from coving, side window top edge is 15" from coving. When I fit new curtain poles do I put poles same height from top edge of each window say 5" or do I put poles at the same height? Previously I had rails at the same height, and where the side window had a bigger gap between top edge of window and pole, it was disguised by a pelmet - this time there won't be a pelmet. Is there a right way or wrong way - would appreciate your advice

Personally, I'd put both poles at the same distance down from the coving. Otherwise, if the curtains are all the same length, it would look rather odd having one set higher than the other. The extra bit of wall showing between the pole and the top of the lower window will only show when the curtains are open, and will most probably not be noticed by any visitors.
