Part of my terraced garden has been laid with railway sleepers which look great but very slippery when wet. Is there anything I can treat the wood with ?

You can stretch chicken wire over them which is almost invisible but gives grip.  I had the same problem.
Paint some clear varnish on top, and while still wet a thin dusting of sand.

Mmm, shame you used real wooden sleepers.  I was going to do the same when I discovered these.  They look very impressive when laid and do not get slippy underfoot.  Everyone who has seen my garden thinks they are real timber!

Is there any chance you could remove the wooden ones and use these?

Are you growing any food nearby? Some nasty stuff leaches from old sleepers.
