How to remove mark on Iron

Hi i was wondering if anyone would know how to remove melted plastic of an iron please i think its plastic anyway i have tried using sticky stuff remover and that doesnt work and its a new iron have only used it twice and i dont want to scratch the surface many thanks in advance

I imagine you have ironed over some plastic while the iron was hot, therefore, if it was my iron I would switch the iron on again so that when it got hot it would re-melt the plastic and then gently scrape it off with a knife blade or scraper.
If you don't remove it then you can' t use the iron anyway so you have nothing to lose and a few little scratches on the iron bottom won't make any difference.
