My lawn had a load of moss in it so I started using mosskiller/lawnfood/feed&weed etc. The grass is generally much better but I do have large patches of dark brown where the moss has died, so will that just slowly fade away and be replaced by grass? Each time I cut I add a treatment after so is iit just a matter of time?
I haven't a clue about gardening geezer..........I've woken up this morning and my usually immaculate lawn is covered in purple clover!!..........at least that's what I think it is....
You'll need to repair the brown bits by raking out any dead moss and sowing some seed in there.
It looks crap for a bit but is worth it when it grows back.
Also, you're probably cutting the grass too short - that's what lets the moss grow in the first place. Set the cutting height on you mower so it's higher. The key is to cut it a little, but regularly.
