Can anyone please recommend a really good heavy duty weed killer ,i have large areas with chippings and flowerbeds and am struggling to keep the weeds down in the chippings area x
I am not looking to spend a fortune but do need something effective x

I have found the best one is 'Round Up' in a green bottle. Get the concentrate and use your own sprayer...the 'ready to use' sprayers work out very expensive. Takes about 10 days to work, but gets the root as well.

buy 2 or 3 large bags of table salt (very cheap) mix half a bag with boiling water in a watering can
hey presto very cheap weed killer
works a treat.
