Gazebo Repair

I have managed to put a tear in the cover of my Gazebo, Can anyone tell me the best way to repair it. The material is Polyester Canvas. Perhaps if I could obtain some adhesive tape to repair it may do the trick. Any ideas?

We bought some special glue of e bay which was meant for sealing tents and some sports binding tape from the pound shop (it cost �1) and that done the job with our gazebo
