Play park equipment laws
A play park has been erected opposite my house, the noise is awful, and I have since found out that some of my neighbours did not get planning application notices, some have lived here as long as 27 years.
The equipment has been placed close to the houses, as the trust put it to avoid vandalism, but being woken up by youths at 1pm is driving me mad does anyone know if there are laws that govern placement of equipment, I don't seem to be getting answers out of my local council

Is it a houseing association or local authority?
Anyway did you get a planning application? and if so how long ago? Could it have been sent a long time ago and your neighbours forgot?
Sometimes they don't send out notices to individuals they just post them on lamp posts close by.
If it is noise from late night yobs then call the police when it happens and if it happens a lot keep a log and report it to the ha or la.

Councils do not send out Planning Application Notices.
There are (pink) laminated notices which are attached to a tree or lampost etc,so that persons living nearby can read them(and see where the planning application is for).We have one at the moment on our gate detailing our house extension.
Also,if the Play Park has been built by the Council,it is quite possible that it falls outsde of the planning law.
I would try and get a petition up to present to the Council. It won't stop the Play Park, but they may think about chaining or in some other way "locking up" the Play Park?
