Hi we have Lleylandi hedge which has been covered in very fine spider webs and is now going brown and dying.Has anybody any idea how to treat it? Thanks Twinny
cheers for that link, seen a lot hedges recently that looked liked they are dying, even pulled a small up from my own garden...now i know what the problem is or was.
Thank you so much neighbours all have same hedge and problem mine is under four foot high and is kept tidy unlike some people around here , thanks for your link. twinny
There is a type of aphid that kills leylandii , you need to look right in the middle of the hedge to see the little pests. It seems to be on the increase in Britain, probably global warming! If it is aphids you need to spray it and it would be a good idea to get rid of some of the dead foliage.
