barn doors

I have some large doors that are untreated. They are very old ones, I imagine as old as the house about 100 years. I am looking to treat them with something that will be as natural as possible.
Saying that I mean perhaps an oil of sorts!! One problem is that I have a horse wandering around the area and wonder if he may take a fancy to it, and start to chew the doors as he does the gate posts!
I dont want to stain the doors as such, just enhance the natural wood and protect a little from the weather.

It makes sense to me. You could try a product called OSMO UV-Protection-Oil. It's long lasting, hard wearing stuff that doesn't smell of carrots so might be safe with the horse!
