A Utah man drives a wagon 30 feet across the flats.  He yells "Gee ho!" and then drives the wagon 30 feet.  He yells "Haw!" and then drives the wagon 10 feet.  He yells "Whoa!" How far is the man from where he started?

I can figure out the math on this if it really is a math problem.  I somehow don't see marlboro putting a math problem in the outwit the west contest.  It seems like some of those trick questions they used to give you in school.  All I know is this is the only question I have not answered and it is driving me nuts.  An other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Yes it sounds like one of those 'trick' questions. He could of course have driven 30ft then returned 30ft before his last distance of 10ft?
Well, it could be a trick q in terms of the number of vowels each representing 10 ft OR it could be a trick in that the man is in the same position to where he started, its just the wagon that has moved.
Possible answer could be how ever far it is to Utah from where he is now

I can't figure at either if it is math or a trick. I went ahead and went out in my back yard and measured it out and got 36 feet. My daughter is a math wiz and she got 36.055512754398 which as learned in school you round it off giving you 36.1 feet

Good luck
