At our local rubbish tip, run by the county council, people are encouraged to recycle ALL paper. But the city council, which collects our recycling from outside our homes once a fortnight, has said that it will not collect Christmas wrapping paper. Are they both right? Can we still take the Christamas wrapping paper to the dump?

Will they not accept wrapping paper together with cardboard?

My council will not collect wrapping paper in the weekly paper recycling collection, but they will accept it in with the fortnightly cardboard collection.  So yes, you can take it to the household recycling centre and put it in with the cardboard.
it could be that the ccl think that wrapping paper will have glue (from sellotape).
We can't recycle envelopes on our fortnightly collection because of glue
i would just kick the people up the bum and demand that u are write
