Lil, 25+ years ago & newly married to the son of a rich respected business family (that was then.... they're not now, but that's another story involving affairs, fraud & alcohol)..... Lil bravely (she's not the best of cooks) volunteered to do the big family christmas dinner.

Snooty mother-in-law (known as Ironside, since the accident...) sidles up to her and asks "Linda, will you be having a capon this christmas?"
Lil looks mystified, but replies "Err..no... but I do usually wear a pinny".

Bless her, I just love her.

God does. And her new husband who is more 'her type' !!!

She's made up this week because she & new hubby are featured in our local Countywide Magazine. In all her lilac ruched glory. She thinks she's Royalty - only the cream of society make that magazine's pages I will have you know !!

Of course she's real - she's heavily featured in many of my FB photo albums. The blonde one acting very suggestively with the rather large pepper mill... and draped all over the chaise longue at The George in Stamford... waiting for her Prince to...err... come. ;-)
