They say not to put them in the bin, but they dont say where to put them! My recycling bin doesnt seem to want them either! At the moment I have a large tub of used batteries that i never seem to know what to do with!! so now im hoping i can get rid of them!!!!! thanks x
From February 2010 new laws state all shops selling batteries must have collection bins for your old batteries. Most supermarkets,Town halls, libraries and schools will have collection bins(our local library has one for batteries and used ink cartridges) If you want to check where your nearest recycle facility is go on www.recycle-more.co.uk Just click on the battery symbol and put in your postcode.
Our local recycling centre (aka The Tip) has a collection bin for used batteries. As Igglepiggle suggests, we wait til we have bundle of them (plus foil which is not collected on the doorstep) then take it up to the tip.
